Overview
TD My Spend is an app that allows users to check their spending insights and improve their spending habits. My design aims to improve this design further by making it more user-friendly.

The Problem
TD MySpend is a TD Bank app in Canada that tracks spending, categorizes transactions, and provides spending insights with real-time notifications and summaries.
Common Complaint: Users frequently experience glitches and crashes when TD MySpend opens as a separate app, leading to frustration and a preference for a more integrated solution.
The Solution:
Integrate TD MySpend features directly into the main TD banking app to provide a unified experience for tracking spending, managing accounts, and performing banking tasks all in one place.
Design Process
The design process for my update of the TD MySpend app consisted of user interviews, the creation of user personas and flows, whiteboarding, the creation of wireframes and prototypes, and usability testing (A/B testing).
The metrics measured during usability testing were: the # of clicks and interactions & task completion time
User Research:

Testing for the correct order of buttons
Testing with the updated design
Final Screens
To map Academi’s user journey, I started with basic mockups, outlining key user flows. Through collaboration, we landed on a clean, minimalist interface that prioritizes clarity. Finally, I built a clickable prototype using Figma, ensuring a seamless user experience and bringing Academi to life as a user-friendly platform.

Learnings
- User Feedback Matters: Listening to users helped improve the design by changing the layout based on their needs.
- Different Layouts Should Be Tested: Trying out various designs is key to finding what works best for users.
- Context Matters for Interaction Design: Users found horizontal scrolling confusing, so switching to a flat screen made it easier to navigate.
