About Me
A little bit more about me!
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in UX Design at the University of Toronto, where I’m exploring how thoughtful design can improve everyday experiences. Alongside my studies, I’m working at Opencore Group as a UX Designer, contributing to design and working on projects in many different industries including Construction, Healthcare, Real Estate, Meal Prepping, Home Services and many more to come.
Being a Masters student and juggling a consulting job has taught me many skills but most importantly it has taught me that drinking flat whites and wearing quarter zips makes you work 86% efficiently (I have no proof to back this up by the way).
What I do in my spare time
Posting UX content on Instagram (Megz.ux)
I like sharing what I’m learning with the UX community. On Instagram at @megz.ux, I break down UX concepts, document lessons from school and work, and try to make design feel a little less confusing. It’s a good way to think out loud, stay sharp, and give back without overcomplicating things.
Learning new tools
I like learning new tools that help me think, design, or ship faster. I have been working with React to collaborate more effectively with developers, and learning tools like Cursor AI and Lovable AI to become more efficient in my own workflow when designing prototypes and screens, alongside experimenting with Figma and AI as the industry continues to evolve.
Playing sports
I love playing sports. It’s how I hang out with friends, stay active, and somehow end up arguing about whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is better for the twelfth time that week. At this point, the argument is a tradition and must be had.
Basketball and soccer have always been part of my life. I like showing up, playing with different people, and letting competition do its thing.
Travelling around the world
I like traveling and seeing different parts of the world. I’ve been to Australia and Bali so far, with Greece and Rome next on the list. I’m mostly interested in history, ancient warriors, and seeing how people lived before modern life took over.
